Notetola listens to your meeting, writes the notes and pulls out the action items. No bot joins the call, no account, and the audio is turned into text on your own device.
Free. Works with Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
Nothing shows up in the participant list and nobody has to approve a recorder. Notetola takes the audio from your own machine, the way you hear it.
The speech model runs inside the app. Your audio is never uploaded, because there is nowhere for it to go. Switch off the wifi and it still works.
Type a quick note when something matters. Notetola fills in everything around it from the transcript, so you look at the person instead of your keyboard.
Before, during, after
Starting a Meet, Zoom or Teams call in your browser? Tick "capture this tab" and Notetola names the note after the meeting itself.
Text appears every few seconds, right on your device. Type a note whenever a number, a name or a commitment lands. Each note keeps its timestamp.
Press stop and you get a summary, a section for each thing you flagged, the decisions and a checklist of who owes what. Copy it out as Markdown.
The claim you can check yourself
Every other meeting tool asks you to trust their servers. Notetola asks you to trust a test you can run in ten seconds: put your laptop in airplane mode and record. The transcript still appears, because the speech model is already on your machine.
Want a large model to polish the write-up? Run Gemma inside the app, point Notetola at Ollama on your own computer, or paste an API key from OpenAI or Anthropic. Your call, off by default.

In a desktop browser, tick "capture this tab" when you start and choose your Google Meet, Zoom or Teams tab with tab audio switched on. On a phone, put the call on speaker. In a room, the microphone hears everyone anyway.
Yes. The work happens on your device, so it costs us nothing to run. A paid cloud plan for sync and sharing may come later and will be optional.
The speech model is downloaded once. After that, nothing leaves unless you choose an outside AI provider for a write-up and press the button.
Yes, and in many places the law requires everyone's consent. Say it out loud at the start. It takes three seconds.
The fast model is English only. The balanced model handles many languages.
Good enough to jog your memory and quote a number, not good enough to be a legal record. Names and jargon are where it slips.
